The Silence

I must apologize for the silence. I'm trying very hard to work on my stories and I am making a little progress but once again real life gets in the way. Physical therapy was very rough on me and I have to try four weeks of aquatic therapy and I'm thinking it's not going to be any better. It's hard to write when you're in so much pain you're constantly getting sick.

On that Note.....

RealMcCoy17: I really appreciate the reviews and would love nothing better than to give you a reply to them. However, you do not have a FFN account, I looked for you. I understand that you're excited about the sequels and want them "NOW" but pressure will not get them done faster. Pressure runs my muse off and irritates me. I'm unsure if you meant it or not but when you start a review with the word okay it tells me that you're irritated. That does not help either that just pisses me off. As much as I would like to devote 100% of my time to fan fiction it just doesn't work that way. 


 I don't even know if RealMcCoy17 will read this but I need to say it! I believe that I am having such a hard time with Hunted because I made them out to be super heroes and now I have to fix that. I have to pull them back into the human realm. So it's making me constantly double think my conversations, ideas and actions for them. I maybe strangling my own muse.

ROAD TRIP!!!

Booth sat in the driver’s seat and watched as Legates traipsed towards them then climbed into the Humvee.
“He’s staying,” Legates grunted, still having that sinking sensation in his stomach.
“Okay,” Booth mumbled as that shiver crawled up his spine again..
“Why are we doing this again, Sarge?” Wilson asked, glaring at Booth.
“Because, Wilson, this is what Pelant told us to do,” Booth said between clenched teeth. His fingers tightened around the steering wheel, making his knuckles turn white. The men sang loud and off key as they drove through the streets of Kabul. If he hadn’t been wearing a helmet or driving, Booth would have grabbed his hair and yanked. On second thought, it was just the helmet because if he crashed the Humvee they’d stop singing. He ground his teeth through the Llama song, it took everything he had to try hard not to cry when they started the next song.
“Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-nana,” Legates sang.
“Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-nana,” Techie joined in so they were both singing.
“Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-nana,” Wilson belted out, making Booth cringe at the destruction of the Beach Boys song with the spoof. They continued to sing in what sounded like utter gibberish for several more verses.
“PO-TAE-TOH-OH-OH,” Wilson yelled out. Booth bit back the urge to want to smack himself in the face. It was funny but at the same time very scary.  Grinding his teeth, he clenched the wheel and tried to remember they were on his side. They had just gotten to thirty bottles of beer on the wall and he was going nuts, it was worse than a road trip with Parker. He let out a relieved sigh when he pulled the Humvees to a stop. Scanning the area, the men checked to see if there was any danger. Spotting the other patrol next to their vehicles in what was clearly a lounging position, they scrambled 
out.

My Muse

Hey guys allow me to introduce my muse. She's a finicky sort and doesn't like pressure, loud noise or other people. So she mainly comes out to play when everyone is at work or school, when they've all gone to bed or when I just outright ignore the fact that there are other people in my house. Which of course you can imagine how often that happens. She also suffers from a rather severe case of ADHD. She will jump from story to story forgetting to tell me that she's moved to a different story. I sit there going WTH just happened to that storyline? Where'd it go? It was right here DAMMIT. Then thoughts about a conversation in another paragraph, story or whatever pop into my head. So there you have it. Unfortunately lately pain and dealing with unsettling news has slowed down my writing from a walk to a crawl =( It's starting to flow easier a little so we'll see. I know that you've all be waiting so patiently and I do appreciate it =D I really do

Please Don't Hate Me

Okay, Guys, I've been pushing and trying to get the sequels finished and it seems the harder I push the less that gets done. My muse has gone all pissy on me and is refusing to cooperate. So, I'm going to do some editing on my other stories to fix grammar mistakes and such. I'm not completely stopping. If my muse comes back I will immediately start writing again. I know that you guys have been waiting so patiently and I appreciate that. I really do but if I push to hard my writing becomes forced and you can see it in my work. I have no idea how long this will go on and I really do apologize but I am at the mercy of my muse.

Question for my readers

Today I realized that my two stories where not in sync continuity wise. You'd read a conversation from Booth's POV one day and Legates' another. My question to you, my readers, is...Would you rather have uneven chapters (Hunted chapter having 5607 words and Second Comes Marriage having 9495 words) or would you rather have the information staggered?

Just to let you guys know I'm not dead. The stories are moving so slow you'd think they were molasses and I apologize for that. Eventually my life will even out and I'll be able to write more or at least get more done when I do write.....

Okay another sneak peek. But remember these pieces are unedited, non beta approved and of course subject to change as I edit....*smirk*

Angela took her break, picked up her camera, and began taking pictures of the carnage surrounding her. There was so much emotion that could be captured here. She squatted down, grunting with the effort, and looked through her camera lens. Catching sight of a young private kneeling in the midst of a burnout building with his face in his hands, she changed to black and white then took the picture. 

She knew that she would never forget this but she could use these pictures to drive an emotion that would help her create art. She took a breath then struggled to stand, her bulging stomach giving her problems. She found her arm gripped by a young sergeant.

“Thank you,” she said in a low voice.

“No problem, Ma’am,” he said, moving off. 

Angela continued moving around the scene, catching interns in various positions as they worked. She crouched and zoomed out to catch the burnt out wall behind Wendell as he bent over a body. She took the shot and paused with her eye still looking through the camera.

 
“Holy shit,” she muttered.

Where in the world are Michelle and Legates?

So I've been working on the honeymoon part of Second Comes Marriage.....*snicker*

When they got into the limo, he reached over and pulled the earplugs out.

“We’re here can’t I take off the blindfold now?” She asked in a sleepy voice.

“Nope,” he said, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. 

She snuggled her head into his shoulder and drifted in the hazy almost asleep state. She felt the car come to a stop and then heard the door open. Legates got out and spoke quietly with the valet who nodded, his wide eyes catching sight of the medals clinking together on Legates’ chest. After giving a soft acknowledgement, he shuffled off. 

Legates helped Michelle out of the car with softly whispered directions. Michelle heard something softly woosh as it passed then came to a stop. Her eyebrows rose as Legates led her away from the limo. Legates turned Michelle so she was facing the right direction. He waited and when he saw the first firework shoot into the air, he pulled her blindfold off. Michelle blinked at the burst of red color in the sky.

Thoughts about sequel

As I am working on both sequels (Sloooowwwllly. Thank you summer break =/) I am perusing a honeymoon. I'm wondering...should I put a paragraph long blurb and write it as a free standing story or put it in the story and possibly make it waaaayyy longer ....So, I'm asking your opinion..what do ya'll think?

Something You Have to Read

As ya'll know I generally don't pimp out other people's stories. Well, not most of the time anyway. But this one...this one I HAVE TO!!! It's called 160 Characters or Less by razztaztic. The first few are just text messages between Booth and Brennan. They're good and she changes it up just a little a few chapters in but it's not that big a deal. They're all one shots that can be read independently. They are freaking hysterical but today's O-M-G I almost wet myself reading it. Please take a minute and go read it.

So, today I was wondering why exactly I walked around every morning going through my checklist of things I had to do everyday..you know...make coffee, make sure my son has his pill, make sure I'm wearing underwear...that sort of thing when I realized that I felt I wasn't doing something.  I realized it was because I spent 72 days posting a chapter and I wasn't doing it anymore. So, I tell myself that I have to sit down and work on my stories today. Get serious with them. Yeah, then I get my horoscope/twittascope. Yeah, LOL nice.../headdesk

“How the hell did you end up cooking?” Legates asked, wearing a smirk. Ethan’s face furrowed since he knew Legates was up to no good but he wasn’t sure where it was going.
“What are you talking about? Ethan’s the best outdoor cook in the county,” James said, grinning at Legates, “you been gone too long, man.”
“I guess since the last time I saw him cook, he put shrimp in the dishwasher, spices in the soap dispenser and beer in the rinse agent spot then ran it on high,” Legates said, taking a swig of his beer. James’ eyes shot to Ethan whose face and neck were turning red.
“Josh,” Ethan barked, making Legates burst into rolling laughter. Michelle tilted her head as Legates laughter drifted too her across the yard. Sadie smiled as a smile spread across Michelle’s face at her son’s laughter.
“What?” Legates asked, innocently while wearing a smirk.
“I’m telling Jen,” James said, turning on his heel.
“James, get back here,” Ethan barked, his face turning even more red.
“Who is Jen?” Legates asked, quirking an eyebrow at him.
“A girl,” Ethan mumbled, turning back to the grill. A petite brown haired girl with mile long legs came up behind Ethan.
“So, I hear you know how to use a dishwasher,” she said, bumping his hip with hers. The back of Ethan’s neck flushed and the tips of his ears turned bright red.
“Legates, I’m going to kill you,” Ethan grumbled. Jen’s laughter tinkled merrily and she turned to face Legates.
“So you’re the friend he said had mile long legs,” she said, eyeing his legs, “yeah I can see that. Does his dongle match?” She asked, wearing a leer as she looked at Ethan.
“Girl, I’m going to chase you with a dongle,” he threatened, wearing a smirk because he knew she was trying to get his goat. Legates shook his head remembering the dongle comment he’d made to Techie.
“Your dongle?” She asked, fluttering her eyelashes at him with a leer on her face.
“Dongle this, iPad that, smartphones everywhere,” Ethan’s mom said, walking past carrying a plate of cornbread. Legates let his head fall back and burst into laughter.

•    whipped  cream
•   cinnamon stick for garnish

Preparation:

1.  Pour  the Tuaca in  an Irish coffee glass.
2.  Fill  with hot apple cider.
3. Top with whipped cream. 
4.  Garnish  with a cinnamon stick

Hot Peppermint Patty:

Ingredients:

• 1  oz peppermint schnapps
• 1/2 oz dark crème de cacao
• 1 tsp crème de menthe
• hot chocolate
• whipped  cream
• shaved  chocolate or chocolate sprinkles for garnish

Preparation:

1.   Pour   the liqueurs into an Irish coffee glass.
2.   Fill  with hot chocolate.
3.  Top  with whipped cream.
4.  Garnish with shaved chocolate or chocolate sprinkles.

French Kiss:

• 1 oz vodka
• 1 oz raspberry liqueur
• 1/2 oz Grand Marnier® orange liqueur
• 1 oz whipping cream

Shake and strain into a champagne flute. Garnish with a speared cherry or raspberry, and serve.

Those two connect at the door in the upper left hand corner of section 1 to the door in the lower right hand corner of section 2. Yeah I have way to much freaking time on my hands lol.

So, I think that's it. It's always fun to be able to build a mansion. In this case you kind of have to take into account personalities of the Hodgins family both past and present. I went for tastefully opulent.
