Two More Chapters

So it's been a while since I've posted anything on this blog and it's not that I've forgotten I've been wrapped up in writing. As much as you all would like for me to start posting chapters ;-P without the story being finished. It's just not my style. There is less stress if I just write it then post it. Hopefully it cuts down on crappy chapters and whatnot. Michelle and Legates are closing in on the end of their first story and once I start posting I'll dive into the sequel for Espionage. I've been playing with the time line for that. It's kind of difficult as I am weaving the sequel to Espionage and First Comes Love together and around each other. So, I have to make sure the time lines for both stories line up appropriately. It's a challenge to say the least. I found that when I was writing First Comes Love which ties into Espionage that I had to make modifications due to time line issues. But it seems to be working out in the end. So, anywho, soon I will be posting First Comes Love. Hopefully not too long and maybe in the next few days I'll give you another sneak peek ;-)

Sneak Peek at Espionage in Washington D.C. Sequel

Okay feeling the guilt for taking sooo long to work on my current story so I'd thought I'd wet your whistles. Here's a little 682 word sneak peek to the Espionage Sequel:

Booth heard the Load Master call for them to load up. A Humvee rolled onto the tarmac and pulled to a stop. The Load Master approached the vehicle wincing at the thought of putting anymore weight on the plane. The door swung open and the Load Master snapped to attention and saluted.

At ease, Staff Sergeant,” Carter said.

The man went to parade rest and Carter's eyes scanned the line of men climbing the steps into the upper level of the plane.

I'm looking for Sergeant Major Booth,” Carter said firmly.

The Staff Sergeant snapped a quick salute then jogged off. Standing at the bottom of the steps, he hollered to the man standing just inside the door of the plane.

McKinely, has a Sergeant Major Booth loaded yet?” McKinley checked his list and shook his head in a negative motion. He turned and was thinking about barking the name down the line when he heard a voice call out.

Sarge, Staff Sergeant over here is looking for you.”

Booth turned to look at Davis who was pointing at man standing near the steps. Hitching his bag up, Booth jogged to the Staff Sergeant and stopped in front of the man.

You are looking for me, Staff Sergeant?” Booth said, hitching his bag up again.

General Carter wants to see you,” the man said. They both jogged over to where Carter was standing. Booth stopped, snapped to attention, and saluted.

At ease, Booth,” Carter said, smiling at the man. Booth went to parade rest and waited for Carter to speak.

Booth, I have something for you,” Carter said, extending the manila envelope. Booth took the envelope and looked at it.

I'm sorry you had to find out like this, son,” Carter said, clapping him on the shoulder.

Carter climbed into the Humvee and it pulled away. Booth held the envelope as if it were a snake. Turning back to the line, Booth jogged over and took his position in line.

Whatcha got, Sarge?” Techie asked eyeing the envelope. Booth swallowed and looked at it again.

I don't know,” Booth said in gravelly tone.

Thirty minutes later, Booth felt the thrust of the plane as it left the ground. He looked at the envelope in his hands and shuddered. Sticking his finger under the flap, he tore it open. He opened it and looked inside. Sticking his hand in, he pulled out two envelopes, a disc, and an iPad.

Techie whistled when he saw the iPad and the headset that went with it. Booth tucked the letters between his thighs, plugged the headset in, and turned on the iPad. He saw a file labeled 'click here'. He tapped the file and a video began to play. Booth's eyes glazed with tears when Brennan's face appeared on the screen.

Booth, George promised you wouldn't get this before you took off. I know that you wouldn't do anything illegal but given the situation it would be logical to think it would be acceptable. I planned on giving you this information tonight but it would seem the circumstances dictated otherwise. There is a file on the desktop of this iPad that will explain everything. The file name is click2. I know that is unoriginal but I found it necessary to make it easy to find. We will get through this, we always get through everything that we have been footed. We are the center and we will hold. I love you, Booth.”

Booth saw her reach over and switch off the camera. He chuckled at her mistake, they got through everything they had been handed not footed. Clearing the screen, he looked at the programs on the desk top. Booth found the click2 file and tapped it twice. The first thing he heard was the whoosh of the amniotic fluid then the fast beat of a heart. His mouth fell open at the sight of a holographic baby floating on the screen. The tears that were in his eyes from seeing Brennan's video spilled down his cheeks.

Not a Total Waste

So as I've said, my muse took a hike while everyone has been on vacation and invading my space. On the upside it's almost over. My son goes back to school on Monday and I'll have a relaxing day to pick up the house which is driving me nuts then...then I can write. Squeee. But this week hasn't been a total waste. I've been going through my chapters and making a list of links for my readers. Everyday after posting my chapter I will post a blog here with links to pictures of dresses, restaurants, events and all other stuff in the story for my readers to check out. So that's what I've been doing. Most of my stuff was book marked but some wasn't and it's driving me nuts. I'm thinking where the hell did I see that?!? Anyway, there's your update. As soon as I get my house back during the day I'll get back to writing and hopefully get this story up soon.

Holiday Vacations

So I haven't posted anything in a while because my husband had a two week vacation and my muse is scared of him. Not that it's surprising, a lot of people are scared of him. Anyway, now my son is off from school and yeah I don't see a whole lot getting done. I've finished two chapters in the last two weeks instead of my normal amount. I'm trying, but again, my muse went on vacation. Hopefully, things will get back to normal in a week or two. I know my faithful readers are getting antsy but I am working on it and sequels to First Comes Love and the sequel to Espionage. Anywho, just wanted to keep ya'll updated.
